Privacy Policy
Snuser is an app for adult users. Snuser does not sell nicotine products, process purchases, or enable purchases of nicotine products.
1. Who is responsible for your personal data?
The data controller for Snuser is Filip Sundén. Send questions about personal data, your rights, ads, reports, or account deletion to snuser.app@gmail.com.
2. What data do we process?
The data we process depends on how you use the app. Snuser may process:
- Account data, such as user ID, email address, sign-in method, age confirmation, and acceptance of terms.
- Profile data, such as username, display name, profile and cover images, biography, country, and language setting.
- Social activity, such as followers, followed accounts, friends, blocks, muted users, likes, reactions, comments, and replies.
- Product logs, ratings, notes, reviews, images, and lists that you create in the app.
- Public and private lists, saved products, and other catalog-related activity.
- Images that you upload, such as profile, cover, log, and report images.
- Barcode scans and reports about missing or incorrect products.
- Help and support cases, content reports, problem reports, and information needed to follow them up.
- Push notification data, such as device token, platform, app version, notification preferences, and delivery status.
- Newsletter choices, consents, and withdrawals.
- Technical data, such as device type, operating system, language, time zone, IP address, error information, and security logs.
- Advertising and measurement data that may be processed through Google AdMob or the Google Mobile Ads SDK, such as advertising identifiers, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app activity, ad impressions, ad interactions, and consent choices where relevant.
3. Location, country, and approximate position
You can enter your country in your profile or during onboarding. The app may also process approximate location based on your device, IP address, operating system, or location permission if you allow it. Location data may be used for features that require location, security, local adaptation, statistics, or future location-based features. You can control location permission in your device settings.
4. Why do we process the data?
Snuser processes personal data to:
- create and manage accounts, sign-in, and security,
- provide profiles, product logs, feeds, comments, reactions, follows, and lists,
- handle the camera, photo library, barcode scanning, and uploaded images when you use those features,
- send push notifications and manage notification settings,
- display and measure ads where advertising is used,
- handle reports, support cases, abuse, blocks, and moderation,
- improve the product catalog and app features,
- send newsletters or product information if you have chosen to receive those communications,
- meet legal, security, and platform requirements.
5. Legal basis
Processing primarily takes place to perform our contract with you when you create an account and use app features. Some processing is based on consent, such as newsletters, push notifications, advertising consent, and access to the camera, photos, contacts, or location where the operating system requires permission. Security logs, abuse prevention, report handling, and service improvements may be based on legitimate interests. In some cases, processing may be required to comply with legal obligations.
6. Ads and consent in the EU/EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Snuser may display ads through Google AdMob or the Google Mobile Ads SDK. If you are in the EU/EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app or advertising provider may request consent for personalized ads, measurement, storage, or access to information on your device. You can manage or withdraw these choices in the app or in device settings where available. Ads may still be shown if you do not consent, but they may be less personalized.
7. Third-party services
Snuser may use the following providers and platforms:
- Supabase for the backend, database, authentication, storage, and server functions.
- Apple for iOS, the App Store, TestFlight, Sign in with Apple, and push notifications.
- Google for Google sign-in, Android and Google Play features, Google AdMob, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
- Resend for email notifications, support email, and report email.
- Snapchat/Snap if you choose to share content to Snapchat through your device's sharing features.
These providers may process data under their own terms and privacy policies when you use their features.
8. Sharing data
Public content, such as public profiles, logs, comments, and lists, may be shown to other users. Private lists and private account settings must not be shown to other users. Data may also be shared with technical providers, public authorities, or legal advisers when required for operations, security, support, report handling, advertising, measurement, or legal obligations.
9. Retention
Account data is normally retained while the account exists. Content you publish is retained until you delete it, the account is deleted, or Snuser removes it under the Terms of Use. Technical logs, security logs, reports, consent records, and backups may be retained for a limited time when needed for security, troubleshooting, legal requirements, or abuse investigations.
10. Account deletion
You can request account deletion in the app or by emailing snuser.app@gmail.com. When an account is deleted, the Supabase Auth account is removed server-side and user-related data is deleted or anonymized to the extent possible and permitted. Some information may need to be retained for a limited time for security, legal obligations, backups, abuse investigations, or disputes.
11. Consent and settings
You can change or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Push notifications, camera, photos, contacts, and location can be controlled through device settings. Advertising and privacy choices can be managed in the app or through device settings where available. You can unsubscribe from newsletters in the app, through an unsubscribe link where provided, or by contacting Snuser.
12. Security and transfers
Snuser uses technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, authentication, encrypted communication, row-level security rules in the database, and restricted access to server keys. Providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards must be used, such as standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms permitted by data-protection law.
13. Your rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of, or restriction of your personal data, request data portability, and object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the legal basis. Contact snuser.app@gmail.com to exercise your rights. If you believe Snuser processes personal data incorrectly, you may lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
14. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app, law, or providers change. The latest version will be available in the app or through Snuser's public legal pages.
